The Active Paper 2.0 is an application
developed to turn your desktop more dynamic, permitting that it has a visual
always different. Using pictures
in BMP, JPG or JPEG format files, that cam to be in your computer or downloaded
directly from Internet to your desktop without be saved into hard disk,
and permitting to use a large quantity of wallpapers without use space into
hard disc.
Navigate
thought Internet and find wallpapers web sites, choice the best pictures
and insert the URL* in your image collection and then use it as wallpaper
in your desktop.
Compatible with Windows 98,
2000, Me and XP.
Internet
Explorer 5.5 is required.
Windows 98 require an actualization of Internet
Explorer to 5.5 venison or righter. Updates are
available into Microsoft web site.

Configurations

Allow
to send a image or a URL to a friend or be shared into
Active Paper web site.
Update
Set
when a wallpaper actualization will 'be executed.

Set
how wallpaper actualization will 'be executed, in order that appear in image
file list or in random sequence.
Connection
Identify
the type of connection that system use to access Internet.
Auto

Use
Proxy setting from Internet Explorer.
Download

Set
priority of download in concurrence with others applications that use internet
access.

progress bar while downloading a picture.
Use

Screen Agent active at next startup system.
Language
Allow
you to choice a different language than Portuguese, language files are in
XML format and must be in the same directory than application, with mane
as “lang-en”, where “en” mean abbreviation of “English”. To translate
in others languages, just modify values of xml tags and save with same name
changing only particle that define the idiom, E.g. “lang-fr.xml”, where
“fr” mean the abbreviation of “French” and so on.

Creating a image collection

An Image collection is a file, with “.acp” extension,
created to join the files names or the URLs of images that will 'be downloaded
from Internet, and will 'be used as wallpaper in your desktop.
You can use URLs of anyone web site, just navigate
through web using Active Paper browser to locate sites with images, open
links and insert it to your image list file, note that link must appoint
directly to files with support extension (jpg,jpeg,bmp), not to web page.
After create your image list, save the file and close application without
close file, when Screen Agent will execute in next time, it file is the
active image list.
You can create many files you want, with various
different themes, but just only one will 'be used in each time.
3) Dynamic downloads
Is the download of
wallpapers that follow a defined theme, even than system is on-line, Screen
Agent will download randomly wallpapers in this theme. Dynamic Download doesn’t
mean that image list is not required, it still required to updates when system
is off-line.
Dynamic Download is
available only through 30 days after installation, after this period the
service is only available to registered software.
Registry your copy, chose
your best pictures or your favorite theme and joy with an even different
visual in your Desktop.
4) Changing the language
1- Rum console application (acpaper.exe), if you’re connected a registration
window will ‘be displayed, just close it pressing “Registrar depois” button;
2- Click in the“Configurações” menu to display the configuration
window;
3- Click in the“Idioma” dropdown list and select “lang-en.xml”;
4- Click in the OK button to close window, a confirmation will’ be requested;
5- Restart application to make changes effective;
By default, the application will access the web site in portuguese; it is
defined in the configuration file distribuited with installation, you can
download a english configuration file accessing http://www.activepaper.net/en/download/acpaper.xml
and save it into application folder.
